Bola Adeoshun

Hi, I'm Bola, the founder of Ubuntu Global Productions! Growing up in a world before social media, I spent a lot of my free time playing sports, whether it was Athletics, Basketball, Football (soccer), Rugby, Netball, Cricket, Badminton...anything that involved running. Sports helped me connect with people and develop me into the person I am today, but after a tragic knee injury, I was inspired to combine the skills I learned both on and off the field.

 

I graduated from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication with a BA (Hons) in Digital Television Production. While in University, I turned my passion for photography into my first freelance business, launching Bola A. Photography, collaborating with brands and businesses.

 

After graduating, I joined tech giant Apple for a year as a product specialist. From there, I moved on to join an award-winning production company, SandStone Global Productions, as their Production Assistant. My credits include Warrior Women with Lupita Nyong'o (C4), The Nile: Egypt's Great River with Bettany Hughes (C5), Egypt's Great Treasures with Bettany Hughes (C5) and A Greek Odyssey with Bettany Hughes (C5). 

 

At the beginning of 2020, I pivoted my professional career into International Development as a Content Producer, where I led the photo and video content for the UK promotion of the CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development)  annual supporter challenge, Walk For Water (2021 ) & Walk Against Hunger (2022).

In 2022 I took a career break to travel and was inspired to produce our award-winning documentary Wave Women UK.​ Today, I strive to tell captivating stories and inspiring content within the sports industry for global audiences and the next generation of elite athletes.

 

Oh, and in my free time, I am learning to fly planes!
